The Expono iPhoto Plugin is OK. But could you make it export the modified copy rather than the original picture, or make it possible to choose which version I would like to upload?

Due to lack of time there is no active development going on with the plugin at this time. However I will look into it if I'm about to do any changes or fixing on it.

    Dear Martin
All the photos I have in iPhoto are RAW, however Expono does not accept this format. Is it possible for your plug-in to convert my photos into jpg before exporting to Expono?
    Many thanks

    Dear Martin
Recently you made the use of your Expono iPhoto plugin dependent on you reading, writing (and maybe also appropriating) the photos uploaded using your plugin.
This prevents me from using your plugin.
    You disappoint your customers, Martin.

You disappoint your customers, Martin. Why don’t you ask for some money for your plugin instead of being voyeuristic?

  • Adrian

I also do not like at all that I cannot delete my own comments on your present blog. Do you belong to some sort of security police Martin?

I’m not sure what you are reffering to since there hasn’t been any change to the plugin for over 6 months.

  • Adrian Fronda

I had your plugin for some time. Now I have to re-connect with Expono in iPhoto, then I come to a web page in which it is written
    “Authorize Request Token
The application iPhoto Export Plugin (http://www.martinj.net), owned by user Martin Jonsson has requested Read & Write Access to your photos.
Would you like to allow this application access to this resource?”
My answer to this this question in the last months has been “no”. I wonder why you ask for Read & Write Access to my photos.
    Please explain.
Also thank you for your fast answer.

The plugin requires read and write access, it has always been like that. It needs to be able to read the albums you have, otherwise you wouldn’t be able to choose what album to upload to. It also need write permission to upload a photo. For clarification, “The application iPhoto Export Plugin” NOT me, needs these permissions as stated in the text.

Many thanks, dear Martin, for the clarification.
May I suggest you to put your plugin in AppStore and maybe ask for some money for it? Your probable success might be an incentive for you to keep maintaining this plugin and maybe even creating an additional plugin. I suggest to have a look at http://photo.net which is lacking sorely such an iPhoto plugin. What do you think?
Many thanks for your prompt answers so far and wishing you every success.
